SALES MANAGER - IMPORT PLYWOOD, DIVISION

 

About the Role:

The Division Sales Manager is expected to scale the business’s sales efforts to deliver upon the company’s aggressive growth strategy. This position oversees the development, execution, and ongoing refinement of the sales strategies, while having strong input into our manufacturing and overall market needs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Build plywood program sales and customer portfolio with a focus on developing and securing relationships with customers.
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and multiple variables to develop highest return sales strategies.
  • Work closely with manufacturing resources to develop new products and customer programs.
  • Accountable for all aspects of managing customers and orders.
  • Perform and relay analysis on market dynamics and drivers that impact pricing and demand.
  • Use knowledge base to articulate and form a point of view, executing on strategies.
  • Strong technical and product knowledge.
  • Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Office.
  • As needed, build and develop team members that support our continued growth and future.

General Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. plywood sales and distribution channels, along with industrial uses and requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of global plywood markets: grades and uses, sources of supply, competitors and market threats.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with a customer base.
  • Plywood sales experience and account management. Management and leadership experience is a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree
